System Requirements

• Operating System: macOS 13.5 (Ventura) or later
• Architecture: Universal (Apple Silicon & Intel)
• Optional: Active Directory environment / Kerberos configuration for SSO

Installation Steps

1. Download the latest .dmg release from the repository.
2. Open the disk image and drag Network Share Mounter into your /Applications folder.
3. Launch the app from Launchpad or Spotlight.
4. Important First Launch: macOS will prompt you to grant the app permissions to access the local network. Please allow this request to enable the app to reach your network servers.

(Note for IT Admins: The app can be silently deployed via Jamf Pro, Munki, or any other endpoint management system alongside its MDM configuration profile).

Updating

Network Share Mounter uses the widely adopted Sparkle framework for macOS apps to automatically download and install new versions. The auto-update can be configured in the app under Settings or centrally enabled or disabled via an MDM profile.
